The C-Core™ is the engine. Treat it right and it'll look after your SPF all day.

Freezer overnight (minimum 8 hours): this is your gold standard. Maximum performance, maximum protection. If you're heading somewhere seriously hot, this is the one.

Fridge overnight, works brilliantly for most beach days. Just make sure your fridge is running at 4°C or below. A hotel mini bar probably won't cut it - ask reception to pop it in their kitchen freezer instead. They won't mind. Probably.

In a pinch, submerge the bare C-Core™ in a bowl of cold water with ice for 4 to 6 hours. Not ideal, but better than nothing.

Once charged, slide the C-Core™ into DayPod® immediately before you head out. Don't leave it sitting on the kitchen counter while you look for your sunglasses for 20 minutes. You know who you are.

Keep DayPod® in the shade wherever possible. It's working hard enough without direct sun beating down on it too.

Close the drawstring and zip collar fully every time before you apply sunscreen. Both closures together create the thermal seal that makes the whole thing work. Half closed is not closed.

Don't put DayPod® on hot sand. Sand in direct sun can reach 60 to 70°C and will put serious thermal pressure on the base. Find a bag hook, a chair, a random stranger - anything but the sand.

Don't leave DayPod® in a hot car. We don't need to explain what happens in a hot car. You know.

The main compartment fits your sunscreen bottles - multiple standard 200ml bottles sit comfortably inside. The more you fill it, the better the thermal mass works. A well-packed DayPod® is a happy DayPod®.

The front pocket is your PhoneCool™ pocket. It's thermally lined and designed to keep your phone from overheating in the sun. It fits up to two phones. It's not for sunscreen. It's not for snacks. It's for phones.

Spot clean only with warm water and a mild soap. That's it. Simple.

Do not machine wash. Do not tumble dry. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. Air dry naturally away from direct heat.

We see you eyeing up that washing machine - don't do it!

DayPod® is water resistant and stain resistant: splashes, spray, the general chaos of a beach day, and even sticky ice cream fingers are generally no problem at all.

But please don't take it for a swim, it's not a submarine.

The C-Core™ pouches are sealed, safe, and built to last hundreds of charge cycles with no loss of performance.

Do not pierce, cut, or aggressively compress the pouches. They're tougher than they look but they're not indestructible.

The drawstring collar on your DayPod® may feel hard to close when it's brand new. This is completely normal; the protective coating that gives DayPod® its water and stain resistance means the fabric needs a few uses to soften and settle.

After a handful of opens, closes and some sunshine, it'll feel way easier - like a lot easier. In the meantime, treat it with a little patience and care. Don't force it - over-pulling the drawstring in those first few uses could damage the collar, and nobody wants that.

Just pull closed with your hand rather than the toggle.

Think of it like breaking in a good pair of shoes. Worth it, just don't rush it.
