It's a temperature-controlled crossbody bag built for one job: keeping your sunscreen cool, fresh and working all day. Think of it as a little bodyguard bag for your SPF - that’s why we subtitled it the Suncare Safe. It looks good, slings over your shoulder, and protects the stuff that's protecting you.

Inside the DayPod sits our C-Core™, a cold-powered insert that acts like a thermal battery. You charge it in the fridge or freezer, pop it in, and it holds your sunscreen at a cool, refreshing 15-25°C. And by that we mean the actual sunscreen itself, not just the internal air temp. Our results are based on probing the liquid inside the bottle, hour after hour, because that's the temperature that actually matters. Not warm, not freezing, just right. We call it the Goldilocks Zone, because we couldn't resist.

Pop the C-Core™ in your freezer for 7+ hours (or fridge overnight, which works almost as well) meaning it's ready when you are. Then slot it into your DayPod, and off you go.

Up to 12 hours on a full charge, depending on usage. That's a full beach day, a festival, a holiday trip, or even a very bad game of golf, fully covered.

Up to 4 x 200ml standard sunscreen bottles in the Cool Zone chamber depending on shape. Your phone has its own dedicated home too (see the PhoneCool™ pocket below). Enough for a proper day out, but not so much that you feel like you’re lugging a tiny suitcase around.

We're glad you asked. It's the heart of the DayPod and the reason it works so well. It’s not an ice pack. Think of it more as a thermal battery: you charge it in the fridge or freezer, and it releases that stored coolness slowly and steadily throughout the day, resisting thermal pressure from the heat outside. Where a normal ice pack goes brutally cold and then quits on you within the hour, the C-Core™ holds your sunscreen in that perfect Goldilocks Zone for literal hours on end. Steady, reliable, and strong - like a good friend.

Great question, and nope. This is the bit we're super proud of. The C-Core™ is tuned to hold that perfect 15 to 25°C range, not the sub-zero temperatures of a normal ice pack. So your sunscreen stays cool and pourable, never frozen, never separated. Cold enough to feel refreshing and stay safe, never cold enough to shock. That's the whole trick.

It's a dedicated front pocket built to keep your phone just as happy and cool alongside your sunscreen, because we've all had that “help, my phone is hotter than the sun” panic on a scorching day. Your phone gets its own thermal sweet spot, out of the worst of the heat.

It's our handy little attachment point. Clip your DayPod onto a beach bag, a lounger, or pushchair. Or clip your own bits to it, sunglasses, a hat, your keys etc. Attach it to things, attach things to it…endlessly useful and pretty clever we think.

It's water-resistant, not waterproof, so splashes, drips and a bit of rain are no problem. But please don't take it swimming or use it as a bucket. It's tougher than it looks, but it's not a submarine.

Sure, we guess. It's still a lovely crossbody thermal bag. But that's a bit like buying a sports car and only using eco mode. The C-Core™ is the bit that does the thing.
